Energy is a key component in modern civilization. Since the drilling of the first commercial oil well in 1858, petroleum engineers and geoscientists engineers have supplied the world with the number one source of energy – crude oil and natural gas. Economic and environmentally safe production of petroleum resources requires the creative application of a wide spectrum of knowledge, including:
Basic sciences: mathematics, physics, chemistry and geology.
Major engineering subjects: mechanical, chemical, and civil engineering, as well as computer science.
R&D fields: nano-technology, advanced materials science, numerical simulation, molecular dynamics, etc.
As a petroleum engineer, you will enjoy a lucratively high-salary* as you evaluate potential oil and gas reservoirs, design and manage drilling activities, enhance hydrocarbon production methods, and design surface pipeline systems and treatment facilities. Petroleum engineers increasingly use advanced computers, not only in the analysis of exploration data and simulation of subterranean reservoir dynamics, but also in automation of oilfield production and drilling operations. Petroleum companies own many of the world’s supercomputers....

Our Bachelor's degree energy is in all respects a good choice: As an industrial engineer, you will learn across disciplines and acquire technical and business knowledge. They therefore meet the requirements in an emerging industry, especially since the opening of the electricity and gas markets.
Energy economists have extensive knowledge in the technical areas, the natural sciences and engineering fundamentals in sustainable energy production and conversion, as well as in the use of energy. In addition, accurate knowledge of national and international energy markets. You learn energy systems under ecological and economical aspects to evaluate and create energy and financing concepts for the rational use of energy in households and in the operation of industrial plants. As energy economist they are generalist with knowledge of conventional and alternative energy sources, technologies employed and the economic recovery and use.

BSc in Department of Energy Systems Engineering
Energy is one of the major problems of the world and of our country since the energy resources are limited and fossil resources which are used widely cause air pollution and so they are considered as the main factor of the global warming and the climate change. Energy problem in our country is much more important because we are dependent upon the foreign primary energy resources and this dependency is increasing continuously. For these reasons, our university opened an undergraduate program on energy engineering under the faculty of engineering in 2009.
The objective of the program is to educate the students in the areas of the appropriate use of our own energy resources, researchers for new energy resources and usage, improvement of new systems and processes, application, energy efficiency and all the other related fields....

BSc in Petroleum Engineering
A comprehensive range of education facilitates various fields of activities for graduates. They can work as engineers on oil rigs and also in development or application in a computer simulation.
To cover the future demand for petroleum and natural gas there are efforts worldwide to tap new reservoirs and to improve the utilization of already existing reservoirs, for example by improved reservoir management. The complexity of the problems that have to be solved requires that the professionals not only possess technical universality but also sound background knowledge in economics and information technology as well as management skills. The education for petroleum engineers is designed to meet this qualification profile. Petroleum industry acts globally and demands that employees can work in an international environment. This fact is taken into account, for example, English is the language of instruction in all petroleum engineering courses and credits can be transferred for a semester abroad at a partner university....

Our Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering (PNGE) program is a rigorous engineering program enhanced by a foundation of environmental stewardship. As Catholic Franciscans,
Petroleum And Natural Gas Engineering
Saint Francis University offers a four-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering (PNGE).
Our PNGE program incorporates a Franciscan approach with real-world experience as an integral component of learning coupled with a vital liberal arts education. Small size classes and strong relationships with faculty are signature advantages of the learning environments established for undergraduate students at SFU. Our students develop a wide variety of skills required to be successful in the rapidly growing field of engineering through classroom learning, field trips, lab operation, academic and industrial research project activities, leadership in professional student chapters, and more. Our graduates are qualified to either work in oil and gas operating companies, oil and gas service companies, government (e.g., Department of Energy), and academic/research institutes, or go to graduate school, or open their own business related to the oil and gas industry....
The mission of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department is to educate students for the practice of their profession in drilling, production and reservoir engineer
The mission of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department is to educate students for the practice of their profession in drilling, production and reservoir engineering topics for underground fluid resources in oil and gas and, for the advancement of knowledge and technology that form the basis of petroleum engineering as well as for finding solutions to the national, international, societal and environmental issues related to petroleum industry. Working with the UK and Global partners to offer international and national opportunities for graduates to develop their knowledge and entrepreneurship skills and to contribute to community development.
