Introduction
Four out of ten people in management in Saskatchewan are over the age of 55. This means there will be a significant amount of retirements on the horizon which is an opportunity for those with the right combination of skills, experience, and education.
The Bachelor of Applied Management (BAMgt) provides journeypersons and non-business diploma and certificate graduates with the ability to leverage their existing education and experience into a bachelor's degree with only the equivalent of two years of additional study, which can be completed either full or part-time.
You will build knowledge and skills in a wide range of leadership and management disciplines including accountancy, human resource management, business communications, strategic management, leadership development, business analytics, finance, change management, risk management, commercial law, and economics.
Classes are offered both in-person and via Zoom in the evenings and there are options each semester for courses that are offered exclusively online. This program's flexibility means that students can work full-time while they complete their degree. Domestic students can attend from anywhere in Canada with a computer, webcam, and a stable internet connection, allowing them the additional flexibility of distance learning.
This degree program is offered with the written authorization of the Minister of Advanced Education, effective July 1, 2019. This authorization was provided after the program proposal underwent a quality assurance review and was found to meet the standards established by the Minister. Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the degree program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs.
