Introduction
The purpose of Production Engineering is project management, improvement and implementation of integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment and energy, with a view to producing goods and services, considering aspects related to processes, administration, economy and environmental sustainability, without relegating ethical and cultural values to the background. This course is based on knowledge and skills concerning the physical, mathematical and social sciences, resorting to the principles of analysis advocated by Engineering to specify, predict and evaluate results, which is why it maintains an interface with Economics, Business Administration and related courses with Technologies of Information and Communication (ICT). At UNAR, the focus of the Production Engineering Course is Operational Research.
