The School of Nuclear Science and Engineering (SNSE) was established based on the preponderant disciplines in North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), aiming to implement the national policy about “the medium and long term development plan of nuclear power”. This school is also the core component of the education system with “Big Electric Power” features which is built with emphasis on subjects related to new type energy. SNSE was founded in 2007. Having two provincial and ministerial key laboratories (Beijing Key Laboratory of Passive Safety Technology for Nuclear Energy and State Energy Key Laboratory of Nuclear Power Software), SNSE is granted the right to confer doctoral degree in the second-level discipline Nuclear Power and Power Engineering and master degree in the first-level discipline Nuclear Science and Technology. The school possesses the national experimental teaching center for Full-scope Virtual Simulation of Nuclear Power Engineering and the national base for Practical Education of Nuclear Power Engineering. The first level subject “Nuclear Science and Technology” ranked the 9th in the China Discipline Ranking.

A bachelor degree is a path of study designed to offer students an intensive education over a chosen field. Many students choose to pursue this degree after earning a high school diploma. This degree can also help prepare scholars for an advanced degree program.
What is a Bachelor in Nuclear Energy Engineering? Nuclear energy engineering is a complex and multifaceted field of engineering. This subject consists of traditional concepts of engineering within the context of nuclear systems, which include nuclear fusion reactors, medical imaging, fission reactors, and others. This type of degree incorporates physics, electronics and thermodynamics to understand the full fundamental components of nuclear processes. Courses may focus on different aspects of nuclear energy like radiation, security, energy and more.
Graduates in this field of study often exhibit strong analytical skills that can benefit more than just the nuclear engineering industry. These learners also tend to have impressive problem-solving skills while being highly detail oriented.
The cost of earning a bachelor degree can vary depending on multiple factors like the number of courses required to complete the degree and the type of school offering the program. To find out more information about tuition, students should contact schools directly.
Careers in the field of nuclear energy engineering are often advanced and numerous. Many students choose to pursue an advanced degree in this field for more specialized careers. However, many lucrative entry-level positions still exist for those with an undergraduate degree. Program graduates may pursue positions as civil engineers designing and building infrastructure for public and private use. Other opportunities include electrical engineer, physicist, health and safety engineer and others.
Students can earn a bachelor degree from nearly any country in the world. More universities than ever are offering online courses as well. Search for your program below and contact directly the admission office of the school of your choice by filling in the lead form.
