The Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Law (PPL) is a coordinated programme of study culminating in the award of a BA (Philosophy, Politics and Law) degree. It offers a structured, yet flexible, programme with a focus on Philosophy and either Law or Politics or both.

The purpose of the BA in Public Management and Governance is to provide qualifying students with substantive, theoretical, and intellectual knowledge, cognitive and research skills such as critical reasoning, data mining, and processing, problem-solving, interpretation, analytical and evaluative skills; communication skills and a normative basis in line with internationally accepted dimensions of “good governance”.

Government, Business, and Ethics is an academic programme which prepares graduates for success as managers and citizens of the global village by equipping you with skills which will be equally useful at home or abroad, in the corridors of government or the halls of industry, in the office or the classroom, at a board meeting or a trade union congress, in a rural village or a capital city, among the leaders of communities and nations or the captains of industries, among people striving to improve their lives or mixing with those who implement policies which affect people’s lives.

Our Peace Studies programme aims to equip graduates in the field to approach the challenges of conflict prevention, resolution, peace-building and peace-keeping in an intellectually rigorous, theoretically well-grounded and empirically richly informed.

The University of Prince Edward Island Cairo Campus’ Faculty of Arts is committed to rigorous study and inquiry, belief in the value of knowledge, lifelong capacity-building, and development of critical thought.

The programme aims to provide students with the opportunity to gain an appreciation of national and international perspectives on many aspects of professional life; which in turn can facilitate graduate career paths in various fields, like the diplomatic service, journalism, academia, law, and non-governmental development organisations. Erected by the National Episcopal Conference of Congo in July 2009, the Faculty of Political Science intends to promote in-depth teaching and rigorous research in political science. It also intends to contribute to the advent and development of policies based on the experience of peoples.
