Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

Program Learning Outcomes (PLO)
Majors in accounting will be able to:
- PLO1: Identify, classify, record, summarise, and report the socio-economic environment that affects organizations
- PLO2: Prepare financial statements in accordance with approved accounting standards for organizations and simple structured groups
- PLO3: Provide financial and non-financial information to help management make business and organizational decisions including setting up businesses
- PLO4: Interpret and evaluate financial and non-financial information for decision-making
- PLO5: Use and evaluate information systems and technologies to achieve organizational objectives
- PLO6: Prepare tax returns and advise on tax matters for individuals and simple business entities
- PLO7: Perform audits for non-complex entities using appropriate technologies
- PLO8: Think critically in the application of knowledge and suggest possible solutions to accounting issues
- PLO9: Integrate other business and management applications in accordance with the basic accounting competencies
