Introduction
The BA (Hons) in Business with a pathway in Information Systems is a three-year full-time program (180 ECTS). It has been designed to provide students with a solid grounding in business and with the skills, knowledge, and competencies in the use of systems and related technologies to control and manage organizational data. Students acquire competencies in database management, at the core of all information systems, and the problem-solving key to optimizing solutions provided to the business. In addition, they gain technical knowledge, competencies, and problem-solving skills in information system technologies for analysis, design, and implementation.
Upon completion of this EQF level 6/NFQ level 8 honors degree, students will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply technological solutions to business problems within the modern business environment.

Curriculum
The BA (Hons) in Business with a pathway in Information Systems is a six-semester, three-year program (180 ECTS) which is designed with an interdisciplinary focus. Courses comprise formative and summative assessment as well as group work and presentations.
This pathway provides students with a comprehensive understanding of business and management concepts, as well as detailed knowledge of information systems including database design and the latest in information technologies through specialized courses of this pathway.
Program Structure
In the first year of this honors degree course, students will be given a thorough grounding with core courses in management, organization, marketing, finance, IT, and economics as they relate to business. In the second and third years, they will build on this knowledge to gain an advanced understanding of these key areas, as well as acquire specific knowledge and skills relating to information systems. Their studies culminate in a final year capstone research project.

Information Systems & Technology Manager

IT Consultant
IT consultants are external to an organization. They help evaluate and design a company’s IT system to ensure that an organization runs efficiently. They work closely with department leaders to design and develop user-friendly dashboards for informed decision-making.
