You'll explore multiple business disciplines in your first year and develop foundational knowledge and enterprise skills in areas such as management, organisational structures, data analytics and ethical business practices.

The Marketing major available within the Melbourne (Bundoora), Bendigo, Sydney and online instances of the Bachelor of Business is accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI). The Human Resource major available within the Melbourne (Bundoora) and Sydney instances of the Bachelor of Business is accredited by the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).
Membership for the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) may require an application to the professional body and may have additional or ongoing requirements beyond the completion of the degree.
Curriculum

To qualify for the award of Bachelor of Business, students must complete a total of 360 credit points across 3 years.
Year 1
Year 1 requires the completion of 120 credit points
including:
- 60 credit points from chosen Core
- 30 credit points from chosen Major - Business
- 30 credit points from chosen Electives or major or minor
Year 2
Year 2 requires the completion of 120 credit points
including:
- 30 credit points from chosen Major - Business
- 30 credit points from chosen Electives or major or minor
- 60 credit points from chosen Electives
Year 3
Year 3 requires the completion of 120 credit points
including:
- 60 credit points from chosen Major - Business
- 60 credit points from chosen Electives or major or minor
This is a StudyFlex course
Whether your course is considered on campus, online or a mix of both, a StudyFlex course provides:
- at least one-third of its subjects on campus or online; and/or
- at least two StudyFlex majors - that is two eight-subject sequences that offer at least half of their subjects on campus or online.
Design your own degree: open access majors and minors available
La Trobe's open access majors and minors mean you could customise your degree with cross-disciplinary studies, work-integrated learning and study overseas.
Whatever you're studying, if there's enough spare credit points in your course structure and room in your timetable, you could choose an open access major or minor from your course’s discipline or a completely different discipline – mix business with science or arts with IT or combine a range of disciplines to design a degree to match your interests and truly find your niche.

La Trobe International scholarships
La Trobe International Scholarships reward your academic excellence by offering up to a 25 per cent reduction on tuition fees for the normal duration of your course.
Destination Australia scholarships
This Australian Government initiative supports new international students to study in regional Australia and is worth up to AU$ 15,000 per year.
Regional Scholarship
If you study at one of our regional campuses, you could be eligible for a one-off payment of AU$ 5,000, which will be deducted from your first-semester tuition fees.
Regional Victoria Experience Bursary
This is a top-up bursary for a prospective international student who is willing to undertake an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree in our Regional campuses.

ELICOS Scholarship
International students undertaking an English for Further Studies (ELICOS) course with La Trobe College Australia (LTCA) followed by an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at La Trobe University.
