Introduction

The Agricultural Education Broadfield Teaching option at Montana State is specifically designed for students who wish to become licensed to teach agricultural education to middle and high school students in grades 5 through 12. Agricultural Education Broadfield Teaching students are enrolled in a combination of agricultural economics, agricultural mechanics, animal and range science and plant and soil science coursework, as well as education coursework designed to prepare those students to thrive as teachers. Often, Agricultural Education Broadfield Teaching majors also obtain a teaching minor to strengthen their skills and reach more students within the classroom.

Within their first year of graduation, more than 96% of Montana State graduates are employed, continuing their education or not seeking employment, and career guidance website Zippia consistently ranks MSU as the #1 school in the state where alumni are most likely to land jobs.
