International Trade was created for students seeking an interdisciplinary training. Who are interested in history, geography, culture, languages, economics, administration, law, logistics and finance. Proactive, curious students, interested in knowing what is beyond the borders of their city and their country, willing to take risks and open to different cultures and different ways of seeing the world. Students able to learn and undertake.
There is a vast field of action for professionals in the area, suitable for the most different student profiles. This involves the technical area, such as customs clearance and logistics; the business area, which concerns the purchase and sale of goods abroad; the financial area, in banks; to the public sector, as a customs inspector; to entrepreneurship, as an international business entrepreneur; as an international relations advisor for institutions such as universities and industry and trade support entities; among other possibilities.
The market requires professionals to be open and receptive to accepting other cultures and other ways of doing business. Have command of the English language and, preferably, a third and fourth language. Ethics and responsibility are also important features, as international business is governed by good faith practices, but also the ability to analyze to understand different situations. Professionals are also required to be willing to learn and constantly update themselves, trade rules change a lot and constantly and professionals need to be always up to date.
