Introduction
The Degree in Intelligent Systems Engineering combines Engineering, Information Technology (ICT), Artificial Intelligence and Business.
In the Degree in Intelligent Systems Engineering
- You will become a STEM professional, (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). A highly demanded profile in the labor market, which will allow you to lead intelligent digital transformation processes of companies, organizations and institutions.
- You will acquire the knowledge and tools to evaluate the organizational environment at all functional levels. In addition to identifying, formulating and developing projects involving emerging technologies and the different areas of artificial intelligence.
- You will develop skills specific to the branch of engineering (mathematics, algebra, calculus, computing and computer science, etc.) and also those linked to companies (organization, management, operations, logistics, production ...). So you will be able to apply the different technological developments to business management.
- You will become a nomad of knowledge and innovation. You will understand and apply emerging technological advances: intelligent multi-agent agents and systems, computer vision, written and spoken natural language processing, automation, internet of things, robotics and digital twins, etc.
- You will develop ethical and socially responsible behavior for management through competencies such as ethics, equality, honesty, responsibility, social commitment, cultural diversity, environmental responsibility and sustainable development in harmony with nature.
- You will boost your international profile through a study program in which the sixth semester will be taught in English. In addition, we will accompany you in a process of progressive training in this language so that you reach the B2 level required for that semester.
- You will live the reality of the company on campus. The modern practicum developed by UIE includes activities such as: workshops, visits to companies, conferences, meetings with entrepreneurs and managers, etc.
- You will learn from professionals with extensive experience and accredited academic qualifications, a key aspect for you to learn to do.
- We will provide you with your first work experience through the internship program, which is part of the contents of the degree.

What will be your professional profile after the degree?
Studying our degree in Intelligent Systems Engineering, together with curricular internships, you will possess technological skills associated with Artificial Intelligence and ICT Information and Communication Technologies. All this in combination with engineering and business knowledge.

Curriculum

Scholarships and Funding

Scholarships for excellence
The Excellence Scholarships reward students who are a true example of effort and talent, regardless of their economic or family situation.
The objective of these scholarships is to recognize the effort and stimulate students in the constant search for excellence, determination and improvement.
How many scholarships are awarded?
A scholarship is awarded for each of the degrees, on both campuses.
What is the economic value of the scholarship?
This is a reduction of up to 90% of the total price of the program.
Who can apply?
All students who accredit an average grade equal to or greater than 8 (out of 10).
Is the scholarship annual?
Yes, scholarships are awarded for each academic year, and, for their renewal, the student will have to have a weighted average grade at the University equal to or greater than 7 (out of 10)
Talent Scholarships
To facilitate access to university degrees, this type of scholarship takes into account, in addition to the academic record of the candidates, their economic and family situation. To this end, a scale has been established that determines the criteria for its concession.
How many scholarships are awarded?
It will depend on the resources available for scholarships and the number of applications received.
Who can apply?
Students with an average high school grade equal to or greater than 7 (out of 10)
Students enrolling in at least 60 credits
Students without a previous university degree
Students whose family income is within the thresholds of each call
What is its economic value?
For the academic year 2022/2023 they will cover a maximum of 60% of the academic fee according to the scale indicated in the bases.
Is the scholarship annual?
The Talent Scholarships are awarded for the four years of the degree, but are renewed annually. To renew them, the scholarship holder must also fulfill their commitment to the UIE obtaining a weighted average of 7 or higher (out of 10) and completing the semester hours of dedication to activities of participation in university life and social commitment.
Are the UIE scholarships compatible with those of other institutions?
Yes, as long as the joint amount does not exceed the cost of your studies at UIE.
