To be admitted to the Degree Course in Business Economics, you must have obtained a high school diploma or other equivalent qualification, even if obtained abroad and recognized as suitable in Italy. A good general culture is also required, accompanied by an aptitude for logical-critical reasoning and the ability to understand and interpret texts and documents (in Italian), as well as basic knowledge of legal and economic notions and of at least one foreign language. The Italian language test is required for foreign language students.

Method of verifying knowledge on entry and OFA

Students requesting admission to the Degree Course in Business Economics are required to carry out, also electronically, a knowledge and skills assessment test, the outcome of which is not binding for the purposes of enrolment, nor does it prevent to take the exams, but it is useful both to provide general indications on the student's aptitude for undertaking the chosen studies and on the state of the basic knowledge and skills required, and to provide further activities to increase them.

The evaluation test is aimed at verifying the student's initial preparation, by completing an online questionnaire within 45 days of enrolment, which has the aim of verifying both knowledge of the Italian language and cognitive skills (logical and mathematical reasoning ) and other communication, relational, implementation, managerial, IT skills, as well as knowledge of foreign languages. The procedures for carrying out the evaluation test are defined and made known through publication on the University website.

In the event that the verification of knowledge of the Italian language and cognitive skills is not positive, the enrolled student is assigned specific Additional Educational Obligations (OFA), to be satisfied within the first year of the course, which may concern the Italian language, mathematics or the English language. As regards the deficiencies found following the outcome of the assessment of other skills (communicative, relational, implementation, managerial, IT, foreign languages), they may, if necessary, be increased thanks to a specific path defined annually through the development laboratory programme. of skills. The methods of carrying out the courses aimed at satisfying the OFA and the program of the skills development workshops are made known through publication on the University website.

Students who transfer from another University, as well as those who transfer from another University Degree Course, are not obliged to take the evaluation test. Students benefit from an orientation interview to examine problems related to study and/or their personal and professional project.

Students can also participate in skills development workshops, which aim to provide young people and workers with the elements and behavioral strategies necessary to implement their soft skills. For the purposes of evaluating the careers of students entering Unitelma Sapienza (enrolment, transfer from another University or another University Course of Study) and the preparation of the individual Study Plan, the Study Course Council appoints its representatives in the two Commissions evaluation department of the University, one for the Legal Area and one for the Economic Area, in charge of carrying out the preliminary activity relating to said evaluation, subsequently subject to verification and approval by the Council of the Degree Course, as well as to the recognition of the CFU , subsequently subjected to verification and approval by the Council of the Department of Legal and Economic Sciences.

The course is structured into three curricula: Business Economics, Economics of tourism companies and Management for digital innovation and sustainability.
