The city of Rosenheim has a Mediterranean flair and is situated in an area known for its beautiful mountains, forests, and lakes. The Bavarian capital, Munich, with its cultural attractions can be reached in 30 minutes by train.

Education

TH Rosenheim follows a practice-oriented approach. Practical projects with industry partners and an internship semester are integral parts of each Bachelor's degree program. Bachelor's degree programs consist of five theoretical semesters, one internship semester, and the final semester, in which students write the bachelor's thesis.

Master's degree programs consist of two semesters with lectures and the final semester, in which the master's thesis is written.

With more than 80 partner universities all over the world, we have already established a global network for student mobility. And we are constantly expanding our international study programs. At the moment we offer three English-taught Bachelor’s degree programs and four Master’s degree programs.

TH Rosenheim offers various services to support international students. Our local Erasmus Initiative (LEI) is founded by students who frequently organize events for international students - join them and get in touch with other (international) students. Furthermore, you will have the possibility to learn German in one of our German language courses. You can also take part in our language tandem program - meet your language partner and teach each other your native languages.

    Student Life

    Studying at TH Rosenheim means studying in beautiful surroundings in one of the most attractive regions in Germany – in particular in terms of quality of life and recreational activities. TH Rosenheim is located in the city center, just a 20-minute walk from the main station, and has even its own train stop. Art, tradition, and culture can be found everywhere in Rosenheim. If you like nature and outdoor activities, you are surrounded by mountains and lakes where you find a lot of sports like hiking, swimming, sailing, skiing and much more. Chill out at the lake Chiemsee beach bar and enjoy beautiful sunsets also on top of Germany´s highest mountains.

    At the beginning of the winter term, you can start your adventure by visiting the famous Oktoberfest in Munich. Just hop on the train and arrive in Munich within 30 minutes where you can enjoy many historical sights, numerous shops, and crazy nightlife. Austria is just around the corner. You can reach the beautiful historical city of Salzburg in just one hour by train. Italy, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic can also easily be reached on weekend trips.

    Campus Facilities

    TH Rosenheim offers access to state-of-the-art facilities, from well-equipped lecture rooms to technologically advanced laboratories for simulations and experiments. Furthermore, we offer a library, a university canteen, and university sports programs, where you can choose among a variety of different sports activities.

    Student halls of residence, run by Munich Student Union, are located next to the university and offer affordable student housing. A brand new private student accommodation, called CampusRO, is located directly opposite our campus and offers a wide range of housing options, from single apartments to rooms in shared apartments.
