The Department of International Studies uses an interdisciplinary framework to explore the historical and contemporary dimensions of complex global issues.

Students in this area develop skills in research and analysis and cultivate a critical awareness of the relationships of power and inequality that shape conflict and development at local and global scales.

International Studies is an ever-evolving field which seeks to understand and address international issues in a way which integrates political, social, economic, and cultural methods of analysis.
